All-On-4™ Frequently Asked Questions!
Q. Do you only perform the All-on-4™ Procedure?
A. Omega Ceramics Dental Lab Implant Team specializes in all aspects of implant dentistry, whether you need a single tooth or multiple replacements. We will discuss all of the options available with your Dentist to help you choose the best course of action for your patient.
Q. Will you replace my regular dentist?
A. No, our focus is on dental implant placement and other surgical procedures. You will need to continue seeing your general dentist and/or other dental specialists for ongoing treatment. We will work closely with these practitioners to help ensure you get the right care.
Q. Is implant surgery painful?
A. Almost always we are able to perform implant placement comfortably, utilizing local anesthesia alone or along with nitrous oxide. Additionally, we have the capability of providing IV sedation or general anesthesia as needed at the surgery.
Q. How long will I have to wait before using my new teeth?
A. You don’t have to wait at all. By taking advantage of sophisticated 3-D computer imaging we are able to place your implants precisely, often without incisions or sutures. This dramatically reduces post-operative discomfort and swelling, thus significantly minimizing the recovery period. You can immediately begin to enjoy your new teeth, chewing and smiling with confidence once again.
Q. Will I ever need dentures again?
A. No, when you leave our Laboratory practice you will have a complete set of non-removable, natural-looking replacement teeth. You will never have to take your dentures out again!
Q. What is the risk of failure?
A. As with any medical procedure, there are risks. Your doctor will discuss them with you, as well as the benefits and the alternatives. While age is not a factor, some diseases such as diabetes have been shown to lower the success rate. We We will take a full history and thoroughly discuss any issues with you as part of our initial examination.
